We are seeking a dedicated Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our team, maybe suitable for a recent college or university leaver. Based in our office, this role is vital in managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency across our construction projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse project budgets and cost estimates.
- Monitor project expenses and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial targets are met.
- Conduct risk assessments related to project costs.
- Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding financial matters.
- Provide detailed reports on project financial status to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices.
- Commercial awareness and understanding
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contracts.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
