Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of industrial structural design experience, with a deep understanding of structural engineering principles and design software. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead structural design projects, provide expert technical guidance, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the structural design and analysis for various projects in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Prepare detailed structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Utilize industry-leading structural design software (STAAD, SAFE, ETABS) to perform design analysis and simulations.
  • Work closely with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure design integration and project success.
  • Review and interpret design codes (ACI 318, ASCE, AISC, IBC) and apply them to project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess and ensure the accuracy of design implementations.
  • Ensure structural safety and integrity through effective design practices.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical insights.

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a major in Structural Engineering.
  • More than 15 years of industrial structural design experience, preferably in large-scale or complex projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of structural design codes and standards (e.g., ACI 318, ASCE, AISC, IBC).
  • Proficiency in structural design and analysis software, such as STAAD, SAFE, ETABS, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in the design process.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading design projects.

 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Familiarity with international codes and standards.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.

 

Job Types: Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: £300.00-£350.00 per day
