This is a hybrid role, therefore will involve a mix of working from home and also from our Halifax office.

What will I be doing?

  • Being the first point of contact for internal and external HR queries.
  • Providing advice and guidance on the application of our polices, including: grievance, disciplinary, sickness and absence in line with UK employment law.
  • Producing accurate and appropriate documentation for formal cases.
  • Supporting managers in formal meetings by providing HR advice and taking notes.
  • Process various requests from the business including: job changes, probation outcomes, family leave and flexible working requests.
  • Upskilling managers knowledge of employee relations best practice.
  • Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the data we hold in line with GDPR.


You should apply if you…

  • Are able to work at pace, without compromising on quality of delivery.
  • Have a sound understanding and up to date knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Have the ability to organise and prioritise casework effectively.
  • Have strong analytical skills and sound, commercial judgement.
  • Have a strong understanding of business processes, KPIs and cost controls.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in HR Advisory (with a focus on employee relations) or a minimum of 2 years line management experience.
  • CIPD Level 3 or above is desirable, but not essential.
