Role Overview 

As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll spend your first two years in our Service & Test Technician team, gaining hands-on experience testing, installing, and troubleshooting advanced battery assembly machinery. In your third year, you can either take the lead on customer projects within the technician role or move into the design office to gain design experience across our equipment range alongside our engineering team.

This role provides an excellent foundation in automation, robotics, and industrial machinery, allowing you to develop practical problem-solving skills in a real-world manufacturing environment.

 

Your Program Journey 

Year 1 – Master the Fundamentals – In House Machine Testing 

  • Intensive technical training at TBS HQ to develop machine testing and troubleshooting skills.
  • Develop expertise in mechanics, pneumatics, controls hardware & programming.
  • Rotate around testing the different machines in our product range

Year 2 – On-Site Experience – Customer Installs & Commissioning 

  • Travel internationally as part of our install and commissioning teams to customer sites.
  • Assist with installation & machine commissioning in a production environment
  • Participate in on-site troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving issues in real time.

Year 3 – Choose Your Path 

Option A – Customer Focused Projects 

  • Take ownership of independent service projects and on-site installations.
  • Mentor and support new graduate technicians joining the programme.
  • Enhance your leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Option B – Design Engineering Pathway 

  • Gain experience across various Design Engineering departments.
  • Develop your detailed design skills across our range of equipment
  • Learn SolidWorks, PLC Programming & CAD Schematics

What We’re Looking For 

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline (minimum 2:2)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Desire to travel internationally and adapt to dynamic environments.
