About the role
We’re looking for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting and monthly management reporting.
Our accountant handles payroll and year-end, so your focus will be on maintaining accurate financial records, producing monthly management accounts, and supporting the leadership team with clear financial information.
This role suits someone who’s confident managing the full finance cycle in a small but busy company — hands-on with transactions, comfortable with reporting, and able to work independently.
Key responsibilities
Process all supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and prompt posting to the accounting system.
Manage supplier payments and credit control, keeping aged debtor and creditor lists tidy.
Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare, maintain and update the cashflow forecast.
Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
Produce monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and year-end accounts preparation.
Maintain accurate and organised financial records for audit and compliance.
About you
Working pattern
The role is part-time (16 hours per week), with flexibility around how those hours are worked. Some hybrid working can be considered once you’re settled in.
